XYZ Group Newsletter August 2018

 In XYZ Newsletter

Hello XYZ family!

Welcome to the August newsletter. We hope you are all having a wonderful summer holiday! We are supposed to be resting too, but there’s simply too much to get ready for the next academic year! Here’s a brief summer holiday-sized newsletter to keep you updated.

You may notice that all of the newsletter is contained within this email. We are testing out a new method for our newsletters to allow our clients (yourself) to find information easier and with fewer clicks. Do you prefer this or the old method? Let us know which one to stick with.

XYZ Festival 2018 footage Coming Soon!

Following the fantastic festival back in July, we have slogged through all of the footage and finished it much quicker than ever before. Our average editing process for the concert usually takes 6 months but this year we cracked it within a month which is a small victory for us. Please keep an eye out for the footage and we will be emailing you the Youtube ‘unlisted’ link. Unlisted means that only people who have access to the link can view the video. This is purely for the protection of your children. We hope that you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed the live experience on the day.

We are saying goodbye to Andy… for now.

After 4 years of providing some fantastic drum tuition and being a genuinely lovely person, Andy and XYZ have decided to part ways for the time being. This is due to personal reasons for Andy and the practicalities of him commuting from Essex every Saturday. We wish him all the best and know that he will be back in years to come. You will still see Andy at our annual concerts and we hope to invite him along to many more filming sessions for our Youtube channels.

Farewell for now Andy. Everyone here at XYZ loves you!

We are saying goodbye to building 407

Another tough change for XYZ is having to let go of building 407 (rehearsal rooms and studio). For me personally, this is a particularly difficult decision. This is where Dunx Drum School was born and what eventually evolved into XYZ Music Academy. This is has been a necessary move as we grow the other areas of the company. We will still be offering all current services, just in one building which is completely utilised rather than having underused space.

MORE changes to building 14

To house the recording studio and rehearsal facilities there will be some more changes to building 14 (our main tuition building). The tuition rooms will be turning into dual-purpose rooms fit for rehearsals, along with the ability to record back to the main control room – which will be fitted in the current Piano room. In the coming months, we also hope to make improvements to the doors, windows, kitchen and toilet facilities so watch this space!
